This year marks the triumphant return of Peak to Fong after a four-year hiatus since 2019. Peak to Fong is the premier annual fundraiser dog walk for Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR). This event seamlessly blends a delightful day out with the critical mission of raising funds to rehome, rehabilitate, and care for over 600 dogs under HKDR's guardianship.Every penny raise contributes to essential expenses such as veterinary care, kennel supplies, and essential staff salaries. It also aids in maintaining three Homing Centres located in Tai Po and Kennedy Town.We invite everyone to join the charity walk from Peak to Lan Kwai Fong or to join in the festivities at Lan Kwai Fong.

Hong Kong Dog Rescue was founded in 2003 for the specific purpose of saving dogs and puppies from the Hong Kong Government’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Animal Management Centres, where at that time thousands of dogs and puppies were destroyed every year. These days most of the dogs and puppies taken in by HKDR come from a variety of other sources. The larger dogs will be taken care of at our main Tai Po Homing Centre, while smaller dogs and puppies awaiting re-homing stay at the Kennedy Town Homing Centre. Alongside the rescue and re-homing efforts, education is also an important part of HKDR’s mission, with workshops and online seminars on a variety of subjects being regularly hosted.
